I have been working in collaboration with the Shangri-La Island hotel in Hong Kong as part of their ongoing renovations, in this case the family floor area. The project I've been commission consists in creating a large 3d paper artwork replicated twice for the 2 larger family suites. It displays 4 different windows that are installed in a cabinet and showcases the culture and nature of Hong Kong for the little ones and families.
The elements are vibrant in colour, delicate in texture and full of detail. Also, since paper its so important in China, it was a really lovely idea to connect the history but with a modern touch.
The last window showcases the city of Hong Kong, and this particular window its more interactive because it has a change of season (Like if you can dress the city for each festivity) so I created some interchangeable themes depending on the occasion.
This one its the Christmas display that involves a little bit of the nutcracker, Christmas elements and ornaments to celebrate this holiday.
