Lexus Takumi Academy.

Lexus Spain has invited to share my vision about their LBX model. This initiative is part of their ongoing project called "Takumi Acdemy" which celebrates craft and artisans around the world. Since I am really interested in structures, I decided to create a wheel made entirely out of paper. I deconstructed the wheel, creating a system of small parts and elements. I designed the pieces in illustrator, based on a real wheel,and took a few tests unitl I found the right fitting. The result is a very delicate and intricate object, almost like a 3d render. I like the modern look of it, because it makes me think about future, evolution and progress, which reflects the ethos of the brand.
